Lost Tree Homes & Golf Club Info

28-Oct-2004

No qualified homes are currently for sale in Lost Tree. Most are quite old, although some "tear downs" have made way for spectacular new residences.

For more information on the community and club, please click here.

One home ... a very expensive one ... has been temporarily removed from the multiple listing service by its owner ... probably because of hurricane damage from the September storms. We show it here just for information purposes. No other home is currently listed, although we will keep a watch on the area.

Lost Tree Village and Lost Tree Club

Lost Tree Village was first discovered and named by E. Llwyd Ecclestone Sr. in 1959. The name "Lost Tree" was thought to be fitting for its special heritage of the disappearing gumbo-limbo trees. Lost Tree Village consists of ocean, intracoastal, golf course, and private lake views, buffered by a state park to the south, the Atlantic Ocean to the east, Lake Worth to the west and Seminole Landing to the north.

The Lost Tree Golf Course was created by golf architect Mark Mahannah, and redesigned by Jack Nicklaus. During the early 1960s, fifty of the nation's top professional golfers were asked to submit designs depicting their favorite golf holes. Many of those ideas were used by Mr. Mahannah when he created the course.

Tennis courts are located adjacent to the Beach Club, which features panoramic ocean views.

The works of noted architects such as John Volk, Jim Gibson and Jeff Smith grace the 450-acre community of Lost Tree Village. Lovely oceanfront residences are located high upon the dune, offering unmatched views of the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful homes border the golf course, providing spectacular views of the course as well as the inland lakes and natural mangroves. Homes located on Lake Worth include the opportunity for deep water private boat docks. The Golf Cottages of Lost Tree Village, conveniently located near the Golf Club, offer views of the course or Little Lake Worth.

The roads and streets are owned by the Lost Tree Village Corporation. Twenty-four hour security provides services to the Village's waterways, golf course and beach. It is considered by many to be one of the most secure communities in the State of Florida.
